Keira Knightley was spotted leaving the Comedy Theatre following a performance of “The Misanthrope” in London, England on Monday night (March 1).
Clad in a black top, jeans and a black scarf, the “Atonement” actress partook in the usual post-show routine, greeting fans and posing for pictures before calling it a night.
Keira Knightley is on the cover of ELLE’s March issue. She talked about her current projects and being criticized as an actress.
Her upcoming film, Last Night, explores the issue of infidelity. According to Variety, the story follows a married couple tempted to cheat when they spend a night apart— the husband with a colleague and his wife with a past romance.
“When we were making it, the arguments on set were just amazing about whether mental infidelity is better or worse than physical infidelity,” she said.
That is a question the film explores, and according to Knightley, “there was a huge gender divide on the question.” Women said “mental infidelity is 10 times worse” and “most men” said physical is “the ultimate betrayal,” she said.
On criticism: “How do you feel knowing that everyone thinks you’re a s— actress?” is a question she always encounters.
Surrounding herself with people who tell her the truth: “You have to be selective about the people whose advice and opinions you take,” she said. “I know [my parents] would never tell me I was s— because they were trying to hurt me. I t would always come from a very sincere place.”
